e-Prescribing Partnerships in Kentucky (ePPIK) Grant Program (Round II)

The ePPIK grant program provides funding to partnerships that implement pilot e-Prescribing initiatives in communities around Kentucky. The program seeks to offset the costs for clinicians and other health care partners in a community to purchase the health information technology necessary to implement e-Prescribing. To ensure there is true e-Prescribing, the grant program also seeks to encourage the formation of community partnerships among various health care entities, including  but not limited to physician practices, clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, non-profit organizations or associations, technology vendors, and Kentucky-based regional health information organizations (RHIOs). This program will also gather information on the impact that e-Prescribing has on the use and effectiveness of the eKASPER system.
