Special Projects Branch
GOLD and the Special Projects Branch utilize state funds to promote community and economic development across the Commonwealth. The responsibilities of the Special Project Branch include the administration of HB general line-tems (non-coal), Area Development Fund, Kentucky Body Armor Program, Kentucky Cemetery Preservation Fund, e-Prescribing Partnerships in Kentucky (ePPIK) Grant Program, 298 Funds and the Ready, Set, Success Program.

The Special Projects Branch provides financial and programmatic administration on all HB general line-items (non-coal), special fund projects and Governor's Line-item special projects.

Area Development Fund |

The Area Development Fund (ADF) is a state-funded program that provides financial support for capital projects.

Kentucky Cemetery Preservation Fund |

The Kentucky Cemetery Preservation Fund encourages and supports the maintenance and preservation of the state’s cemeteries.
Due to a lack of funds, applications are not currently being accepted.

e-Prescribing Partnerships in Kentucky (ePPIK) Grant Program (ROUND II) |

The Cabinet for Health and Family Services, in conjunction with The Governor’s Office for Local Development, is on its second round of ePPIK grants. The ePPIK grant program provides grants of up to $90,000 to partnerships that implemented a pilot e-Prescribing initiative in communities around Kentucky.

Executive Order 2007-298 (Lake Cumberland) Funds |

The Governor's Office for Local Development's Office of State Grants administers the funds outlined in Executive Order 2007-298. These funds were made available for the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Clinton, Cumberland, Logan, Lyon, McCreary, Monroe, Pulaski, Russell, Simpson, Todd, Trigg and Wayne.

Ready, Set, Success Program |

The Ready, Set, Success Pilot Project Grant provides funding to local county fiscal courts to implement to develop measurable objectives that will address the enhancement of services for children in the local community.
